Dental implants have increased tooth replacement options for people missing one, many, or all of their teeth. In turn, implants have increased the quality of life for many patients who get them. Whether through improving self-esteem with a full smile, again enjoying desired foods, or preventing further bone deterioration, our patients highly value dental implants. Understandably, the cost of dental implants are a concern for many people. While immediate cost of an implant may be higher than an alternative options, the long term costs are often reduced and the benefits often are significantly higher than the alternatives. It is important to thoroughly review the benefits and disadvantages of getting implant-based tooth replacements versus waiting or using alternative replacement options.
Costs of Dental Implants
Generally, a fee for surgically placing an implant is separate from the fee for restoring (placing a crown) on top of an implant. Procedures for implants usually include Cone Beam CT 3D imaging and placing an implant. Depending on the needs, bone and soft tissue grafting are often required as well. At Tahoe Oral Surgery and Implant Center we will provide a thorough explanation of expected procedures and costs necessary prior to the surgery – our goal is for transparency with the expected investment our patients are making in their well being and to avoid a “financial surprise” for anyone.

A Note on Offices Advertising Unbelievably Low Costs for Implants
Great implant practices utilize the best materials, invest in technologies that provide a better and more predictable outcomes, and spend a lot of time and money on continued training (I’m typing this at an airport traveling back from an implant and bone grafting course). The offices which “race to the bottom” in cost typically do not have values that are aligned with patients seeking a long-term solution for great looking and functional teeth.
If you are searching for quality dental implants and exceptional care, please contact our office and schedule a consult. Our staff at Tahoe Oral Surgery and Implant Center is happy to help answer your questions and ease your concerns.
