The modern, most cost-effective, solution for patients who need to replace a full upper or lower set of teeth is a procedure known as “Teeth-in-a-Day.” With precise planning, utilizing our 3-D imaging, we carefully place Medical-grade, titanium implants (or “posts”) into the jawbone which anchor the new teeth to your jaw. In most cases at the time of surgery, the beautiful new set of teeth are then carefully attached to these posts, creating a natural-looking and feeling full set of teeth that remain in the mouth day and night, unlike a conventional denture. Typically, four implants are all that is needed for a whole new smile!
These new teeth will allow you to eat the foods that conventional denture wearers miss, such as apples, corn, and steak. Your new teeth will not fall out, and will provide a solid, stable solution that, with proper care, can last a lifetime.
In most cases, the procedure to replace a full upper or lower (or both) set of teeth can be completed in one day (“Teeth in a Day”), with removal of all of the non-restorable teeth, placement of dental implants, and securing a temporary full arch bridge; all in one appointment.
Dr. Martin utilizes the latest digital and 3-D imaging technology, utilizing cone beam computerized tomography (CBCT) to plan the entire procedure in his Truckee and South Lake Tahoe offices.
